Xbox gaming console updates and their features

Xbox

Xbox was the first gaming console from Microsoft that came out in 2001. It was a modified Windows PC that had hardware components quite different from other gaming consoles. Further, it was a living room centerpiece competing with Sony’s PS2, Nintendo, and Gamecubes, where it had a tough competition with the best-selling gaming console, PS2. It got more popularity in the UK and USA than in Japan where its competitors described above were developed. Its best online gaming experience at that time made it more successful than its competitors.

Xbox 360

It was Microsoft’s second gaming console that came out in year 2005. It brought a few updates like two variants of hard drive, wireless controller, and attractive price. Therefore, it could compete with PS3 and Nintendo Wii closely. Its first core model without a hard drive was priced at $299, and the Pro model at $399 had a 20GB hard drive. However, being the most successful console of the time, the Red Ring of Death (RRoD) problem led to widening the company’s expenditure approx. $1 billion for solving it. Microsoft solved this problem by upgrading Xbox 360, named Xbox 360 Elite (2007), Xbox 360 Slim (2010), and last of Xbox 360 upgrade, Xbox 360 E (2013).

Xbox One

Xbox One came out in 2013, which was slightly a business model, unlike the earlier only game-focused upgrades. It had an HDMI-in port that enabled you to plug in the cable box for streaming services. Furthermore, it had some unique and powerful internal upgrades; however, its close competitor, PlayStation 3 led it, in performance. Later its in-generational update, Xbox One X, the most powerful among Xbox upgrades ever, overcame PS4 IN 2017.

Xbox Series X and Series S

These both are video game consoles released on November 10, 202. These are the latest Xbox upgrades featuring next-generation experience. Xbox Series S is lower in price range and resolution than the Xbox series X. Xbox series X has a better refresh rate, graphics, and look, putting a tough competition against Sony’s PlayStation 5.
